Public Art in Review is not just a book; it's a unique journey through the world of public art. It's the culmination of years of celebration and exploration of excellence in public art, offering an engaging and accessible overview of this dynamic field.
5 years, 27 curators and over 58 artists and collectives.
This book captures a selection of the most compelling public art of its time, viewed from the perspective of a curator. It is a testament to the dynamic partnerships curators have forged with a diverse range of artists that have resulted in some of the most urgent and inspiring public art in recent history, many of which are captured in this tome.
As the Book Designer, I took full ownership of the entire design process, crafting a distinct visual identity for the book by curating its color palette, typography, and layout. These design choices not only defined the current book but also established the visual language for future volumes. I led the entire print production process, managing the budget while ensuring the final product was both visually stunning and highly readable—delivering a beautifully crafted, engaging experience for readers. This publication is a landmark work that showcases global examples of public art. It is now being integrated into university reading lists, further cementing its significance in the academic landscape.
Public Art in Review Volume 1 (2019 - 2023) was launched in New York City in September 2024; aligning with the city's Armoury Art Fair.
